INTRODUCTION

Muong village day tour – Muong hill tribe is in the Northwest of Vietnam with 1,600,000 people. Living in Hoa Binh province  and Muong village is 85km from Hanoi. It is home to six minority groups including the Hmong, Muong, Dao and Thai. The area has changed a lot since the second large hydro power plant in Southeast Asia, was built here turning the Da River into a lake. Still, today the province boasts some of Vietnam most beautiful scenery and typical Muong`s culture. This tour is to visit Muong ethnic minority people , will gives you the opportunity to explore, learn and truly experience the rural life in Vietnam

ITINERARY OF MUONG VILLAGE DAY TOUR

With Muong village day tour, you will have the opportunity to experience day-to-day local village life hands-on. Pick up and drive from Hanoi at 8:00 am to the west Hoa Binh Province.

Have some stops on the way for break and pictures. After 2 hour, You will be at the village of Muong ethnic people. Firstly, Take a walk around to see some house, then interact with local people to gain a perspective on Vietnamese culture, society and governmental structures. You have an opportunity to learn about rice cultivation, tending livestock, and making shrimp baskets all local livelihoods practiced throughout generations.

Meet the muong people in the village

Lunch will be served in a local house. After that drive for 30minutes to Thungnai boat station of Hoabinh lake. You take a hour boat trip here. It looks like a small Halong bay. Moreover, you have a Thacbo cave visit – a beautiful with pogoda and temple inside.

After boat trip, pick up and drive back. Muong village day tour will finish at your hotel.

Note:  you can do this tour in 2days. So we have more time to see a big hydro power plant ( built by SOVIET) and stay in homestay in the village. That is very interesting!
