ITINERARY OF NINHBINH PRIMITIVE COUNTRYSIDE TOUR
Day 1. HANOI – NINHBINH ( 100 km) ( L)
We pick you up at the hotel this morning at 8.30 for the 2 -hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to Ninh Binh primitive countryside province, one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam with its spectacular scenery and historical temples. It is also called ‘Dry Halong Bay’ for its magnificent limestone karsts which dominate the landscape.
Upon arrival, We begin a leisure 5 to 15 km biking trip around Tho Ha village passing by peaceful villages and enjoying the rustic countryside landscapes (according to preference). Then continue to Dong Tam Hamlet to join in some engaging agricultural activities such as catching crabs, fishing and transplanting, watering vegetables and more. After enjoy your lunch you take the cruising on a 2-hour boat trip through small canals among the paddy fields (rice fields seen between March and early June), then stroll along the winding rocky path of the foot for 200m and go up 20 steps to reach the Galaxy Cave gate. Get inside the cave and admire the spectacular stalactites above the cave ceiling. Continue to discover But Hien cave and be attracted by many natural sparkling stalactites with shapes and figures before returning to the pier and drive to the hotel for check-in.
Note: Clients who stay at Tam Coc Garden/ Ninh Binh Legend/ Ninh Binh Hidden Charm can have sampan cruise through Galaxy Cave and Thung Nham eco-tourism zone to reach Thung Nham pier and before a transfer to the above hotels. Clients staying at Emeralda Ninh Binh have to cruise back to the local pier for a transfer to the hotel. There are few places for boat trip with Ninhbinh primitive countryside tour: Vanlong, Tamcoc, Thungnang, Trangan. We can talk about it in the car.
Overnight at Ninh Binh
Day 2. NINHBINH – PHATDIEM – HANOI (160 km) (L)
Take your time to enjoy a relaxing morning with breakfast at the hotel before driving an hour to Phat Diem church – built in stone in 1892. It is a blend of Vietnamese and European architecture giving birth to an “eclectic architectural style”. Step through ancient structures of this complex to feel the delicate sculptures. Then spend a short drive to visit a mat weaving family who live by the river bank.
Communicate with them through the guide and get a glimpse of the life of locals negotiating economic progress and keeping the traditional family craft alive. Transfer back to Tam Coc for lunch.
The tour finishes with a visit to Bich Dong Pagodas, an ever ancient three tiered cave pagoda, and discovers charming pagoda and stupendous view from the top.
Return to Hanoi in late afternoon. This is the end of Ninhbinh primitive countryside tour.
